The high powered Border Bombers 16U Baseball All-Stars under the direction of head coach Mike Luna ventured to San Antonio, Texas this past weekend to compete in the two day high caliber Turn Two Baseball Tournament where they simply dominated their opposition during Pool Play with a perfect 4-0 record to propel the Border Bombers 16U All-Stars into the tournament’s championship game.

In the championship game of the Turn Two Tournament, the Border Bombers 16U All-Stars were pitted against the San Antonio Kings in what proved to be quite a thrilling and intense contest.  The San Antonio Kings jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after four inning of play.  But as the late legendary New York Yankees catcher Yogi Berra used to say “It ain’t over til it’s over” came true as the valiant Border Bombers pulled off a magnificent and dramatic comeback in this game managing to execute timely hitting, flashing the leather with a solid defense.  Facing their final at bat I the bottom of the seventh the order Bombers pulled of a thrilling comeback to come away with the well earned 5 to 4 victory over the stunned S.A. Kings to capture the Turn Two Tournament title.

The victorious order Bombers 16U All-Stars roster is comprised by Johnothon Luna, Manny Luna, Isaac Roque, Isaac Gonzalez, Jacob Ramirez, David Patino, Eli Perez, Rey Rey Mendoza, Juan Ivan Perez, Alex Luna, Derek Ibarra and Victor Perry.
