Have Six Players selected to the

2016 29-5A All-District Baseball Team

With all four of the District 29-5A varsitybaseball teams having been eliminated from the 2016 UIL High School baseball post season playoffs in the bi-district round, C.C. Winn Mavericks head baseball coach Gene Flores has authorized Eagle Pass Sports Central to announce the 2016 District 29-5A all-district baseball selections as chosen by the respective district head baseball coaches during their annual post regular season meeting held in Uvalde, Texas.

The C.C. Winn Mavericks who were barely nudged out of a possible post season playoff berth on the final game of the District 29-5A season had six members selected to the prestigious 2016 District 29-5A all-district team by the respective head baseball coaches.

Earning a berth on the all-district first team were Mavericks senior outfielder Javy Flores, senior pitcher Rica Gonzalez and junior first baseman Rey Lopez.  Garnering a berth on the all-district second team was junior stellar multi-sport pitcher Ruben Esquivel who was also voted to the second team as a second baseman and junior multi-sport standout outfielder Julio C. Ruiz.

Winn Mavericks varsity baseball players on your most deserving honor in being selected to the 2016 District 29-5A All-District varsity baseball team and wish each of you continued success and thank you for representing C.C.
