Eagle Pass Sports Central is pleased to announce that the 11th Annual South Texas Coaches Association all-star football game is set to kickoff on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Shirley Field in Laredo, Texas. The previous all-star games have been highly competitive, entertaining and highly successful. This year’s edition should be no different as it gives the senior players from the respective high schools represented one final chance to perhaps earn a scholarship as several scouts from various colleges will be attendance to evaluate the talent at this all-star football game.
This year the West All-Star team will be under the leadership head coach David Charles and the Laredo Martin Tigers coaching staff while the East All-Star Team will be under the guidance of head coach Oki Villasenor and the Laredo LBJ Wolves coaching staff. Each member school will nominate a maximum of ten deserving seniors and will be guaranteed 7 spots in the All-Star roster. Location and times of practices will be emailed by the Head Coach coaching your respective athletes.
Players will provide their own gear including helmet and the South Texas Coaches Association will provide the game jerseys. All players must sign a waiver releasing the STCA, the school district, and coaching staff from any damages or injuries incurred during the course of practice and or game. All players must also provide a current physical examination and purchase at least a $50,00 ad for the program.
